What exactly is an equestrian jacket showgirl? I ask myself as I look back at this set. I name the sets on shoot day, and something

was probably in our minds about this set to do with Ayla Rose being a can-can showgirl (hence the black stockings). But as often happens

when you get multiple creative people contributing on set, whatever the original idea was, we soon wandered away from it. Ariel did a

sumptuous rope tie, especially beautiful at the back, which meant my planned chair-tie with a jacket wasn't going to be quite right.

And Ayla's poses were much more coy and charming than the floor-stamping maybe we'd initially imagined. As a result the shots in this set

which really come alive for me are the early ones where Ariel's ropes, Ayla's poses and the skimming light just all come together for a

soft and sensual synthesis. The later chair-tie ones are nice too, but they don't quite glow the way the sexier shots at the start of the set

do for me. It's times like that when I really love my job- seeing something emerge that none of us quite planned.
