This is another set from the "lost" folder from our location trip to Sweden back in (gulp) 2008. I know why this one didn't see the light of day sooner-
while the girls were doing excellent things in front of the camera, behind the camera we were fighting the limited dynamic range of the camera to try to
get something in the very contrasty direct light. Worse, this was back in the days when we shot JPG (we swapped to RAW very soon after) so what potential
extra dynamic range there was to be had was a bit frozen out by the 8-bit conversion. I've done my best to pull this up in post, but there is a bit more noise
in the shadows that we'd usually want. Still, it shows that I've also got better at correcting problems like this in the last decade, because I recall having a
go at retrieving it at the time, and not getting anywhere I liked. SO it does mean I've picked up some skills in post processing along the way, even when
presented with a less-than-ideal JPG starting point.
