Please welcome the fabulous Lucy Lauren making her Restrained Elegance debut today. She's wickedly fun and kinky (check out her twitter feed at

@UKCuteGirl to see what I mean) and we had an excellent shoot with her to round off

our shooting year in December 2017.

This set is also a welcome to another newcomer to Restrained Elegance- the Cage of Contemplation. Both the cage and the lighting might look a

bit familiar to you if you're a fan of metal bondage. That's because this set is also a tribute to photographer Matt Brown, who used to run

Shackled Maidens before his untimely death in 2017. His family contacted me asking for help in finding buyers for a lot of Matt's equipment,

and I was glad to help out... but also glad to have the chance to put in a bid for this marvellous bit of bondage gear. I was a fan of Matt's

work and I think the cage is one of his best contraptions. I hope he would approve of it's continued use to confine and restrain the very

sexiest of British modelling talent, hopefully for years to home!

We were friendly in the early days- Matt kindly brought along some gear and we did a couple of shared shoots

back in the days when I was shooting with cloth backdrops in my living room. I showed him the basis of three point lighting with a cool backlight,

a style which he went on to make his signature stark look for the Shackled Maidens cages. He showed me how to build bondage gear, a lesson which

I never really took to heart (I am NOT a practical man).

In latter years I think he took against me a bit; not to speak ill of the dead but I don't think anyone would deny that he got quite eccentric

verging on odd as the years went by. I gather he had the occasional rant about me (and many other producers too I imagine, although as we were in the same

geographical area for a while I guess we had more models in common than many producers do). At one point I believe his favourite name for me was

"Welsh Monkey Boy", which I rather like! Though when we passed by his stall at an event a few years ago he didn't even recognise me.

So he wasn't always the easiest of characters to deal with, but his work rises above any eccentricities to stand as a shining monument to

the beauty of metal bondage. He worked with the best models, he lit and photographed with great style, and his signature dungeon-grunge metalwork

allied with cover-of-Vogue dramatic lighting has been a big source of pleasure and inspiration for many, including me.

So, in memoriam Matt Brown, here is Cage of Contemplation in its new home at RestrainedElegance!
